Teaching kids with social learning challenges how to ask questions that sound natural and not scripted.

This is a technique I used to teach students how to adjust the type of questions they ask in a social conversation based on the age of the person there with. Very often I find that students diagnosed with Asperger’s and higher verbal autism spectrum diagnosis Herndon social skills groups to ask questions that are too broad and not natural to the way boys their age communicate with each other.  This visual is used to help teach students to self-monitor what kind of questions they’re asking so they can sell them more organic and less scripted as they speak to similar age peers
